Kreate With Ky

What quickly developed, out of necessity, was a freelancing career, working with over 10 brands. Months later I decided to take a step back and grow within one company. This journey has created new heights, new skills, & even a new sense of self. The biggest change: building a creative brain, one that can create consistently while converting to growth. Below is a recap of my journey.

Through hard work, long days, and communitiy the owners of SBS turned semi driving into a succesful logistics brokerage & a one year old start up. SBS Motors takes the owners love for cars - a former race car driver - and turns it into an extension of their brokerage. Purchase vehicles, move them with your team, sell them.
I have had the pleasure over the past year (ish I was part time for many months), of being apart of both companies.

1 month - success + sign-ups through social media
I required a 3-month minimum when signing a contract. However, this company wanted a social media marketer for only 3 months to aid the launch of their new office. It appeared as a great opportunity, so the normal onboarding process was altered.
The reputable company of over 20 years was expanding to their hometown and hired me to help them with social media content. Once signed on, the mentioned potential of other projects were assigned. This was before a social content calendar was officially agreed upon. These projects inclduded help with website/marketing, getting them set up with linktree, facebook management, and help with email campaigns. My ultimate goal was to get sign ups for the new office through these marketing efforts.
At the same time they hired another company to fix their website. That company failed miserably, leading to the attention I needed being pushed off.
Despite clearly building and agreeing on a plan, poor staff planning, outside service conflicts, and an already half foot in half foot out mindset about building off social media marketing, I delivered what was agreed upon. In one month, and just the beginning of my plan, I got 60 clicks (among other successes), sign-ups for the new location, and a viral video. Following this, the business felt as if they wanted to go another direction, towards traditional marketing in their niche. My job was done. Correctly, and the numbers in that week were not anticipated.
I knew they needed traditional marketing as well, but did what was agreed upon as I was not a long term member of the team. What do you think, just not a fit or they left after receiving their goal: sign ups?

I was hired as a freelancer to assist with the Global Gaming League's social media. My main focus was creating one post a day, predominantly carousel stories that could go viral. After a couple of months and viral post, the account grew +18k.

I worked for 2 companies, owned by the same person in the same industry - social media. My main role was to help the agency's talent: create social media content, draft social media content ideas, analyze social media content & accounts, create social calendars, and even a newsletter bi-weekly to help with content creation.
